Flight Ops Intern (pilot)

Do any of you know what a flight operations intern (pilot) does and what this job would require? I see it as a step in the door, but I am unsure what else the intern job would do.

I am local to Las Vegas and I am almost done with my PPL- I just need to do the last stage check and the checkride. I am planning on going all the way to get my R-ATP and then onto the commercial side all while keeping my career at the fire department.

I did a search on here and could not find anything and as far as I know there are no other airlines hiring interns.

Edit- I tried to apply. Not sure if it went through or not. Website seems to not be working correctly.

It’s an internship you take for college credit and it’s obtained through an accredited college.
