The resort may be problematic....

in the summer it is damn hot down there to the point of being uncomfortable

and it isn't on the beach

If you haven’t spent a summer in Florida, the ocean/beach is no reprieve from the heat. A nice temperature controlled pool is way better.

Sorry, but anywhere where you have to cool the pool is just too damn hot.

Haha, I don’t think I’ve heard of a pool chiller. It’s a tradeoff, we pay our dues in the summer to enjoy a perfect fall/winter/spring down here, 70 degrees/sunny with no humidity almost daily.

Then Florida, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and California shouldn’t have resorts. What a dumb comment.

My pool has one. It’s a heat pump in winter and a/c in summer. Works great.

I like running outside in 20F weather, to each their own, if AC hadn't been invented I think there would be about 5 people living in FL voluntarily. I really don't think you need a pool chiller anywhere but FL, CA doesn't get hot enough, AZ, NV it is dry enough. TX, depends on where, but definitely not needed in the north part.
