Base Seniority

Based on the result of today’s vacancy award, the following FO spots went unfilled. These are the spots that should be offered to the first September class. The first number is the slots that went unawarded. If there is a number in parenthesis, those are additional spots that were vacated during this award. In theory, you should be able to add those two numbers together, but there is no requirement that the company backfills empty slots.
BLI 1, CVG 6, FLL 4 (2), GRR 4 (2), IND 3, PGD 6 (3), PIE 5 (2), SAV 1 (3), SFB 6 (5), TYS 1

It will definitely change in a couple of weeks (estimated) when the vacancy for those spots actually open, but for now only five people have ABE CA number one on their list and only one of those is currently a CA (and fairly junior).
We'll know a lot more when the vacancies actually open and guys who are interested start to fill out vacancies for BNA and ABE.

Thank you all for the great information. Just trying to figure out worst case scenarios.... If I were to get on in the next Month or two, what could I expect to be the worst case to hold PIE? Obviously, we have to get through training, so there's a couple months, but are we looking at maybe 6 months, or with all the new hires, maybe 2-3? Could make quite a difference having to commute with this schedule for 6 months compared to 2 or 3.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

BNA Seniority
So do y’all think BNA would go senior on the FO side too? I’m ok about being an FO as long as I’m in base and BNA is where I want. Hoping it’ll be available for my 23 SEP class bid. But with a last 4 of 8XXX, I’m ready to get the leftovers.

I think you have a decent shot at it. I've seen about 8 bases open since I've been here not counting ABE and BNA. Most junior CA usually goes around 65-70% on the overall list. Most of the time the base will fill up with 25% of FO's already on property and the rest new hires. BNA is a desirable place to live so you never know but I heard the same hype about AVL and all of the FO's ended up being new hires. Good luck with your bid and welcome!
