Video Interview

I was recently contacted to set up a phone interview. When I sent them my preferred date and times, I received an e-mail stating to ignore the phone interview e-mail and that I was now on to the video interview.

Has anyone done the video interview recently?

What were some of the questions that were asked?

How was it set up?

navy1998 07-15-2019 06:34 PM

Hey, my phone interview was just changed to a video/web recorded interview also. Not sure what that means or if that's a bad sign. Anyone have any insight or completed and received any feedback yet?

Don’t trip, just dress up with a nice background and you’ll get a few shots at each question if it’s like it used to be.

I wonder if they were getting behind or having problems getting all the phone interviews done on schedule. A buddy of mine said they missed his appointment and then rescheduled. I think someone on here said the same thing.

Video interviews they can review at their leisure...

Does anyone know if there is a time frame associated with completing the video interview? I just received the email last night and am currently out on a trip till Thursday.

This was 3 years ago, but I believe you had 48 hours. If your out in a trip just wear your uniform. It’s not an issue and they will understand.

I was enroute to my buddies surprise bday party when I got the email. Had to borrow one of his dress shirts and a black tie (ugly colors I wouldn’t ever wear) and use his spare room the next day. I had to take down his girlfriends Taylor Swift calendar that was hanging up on the wall behind em 😆

I'm in the same situation and had the same question so e-mailed Zahra. She says you have 7 days from receipt of the e-mail before the link expires. She also said if it does expire by the time you get to it, to e-mail her and she will re-send. Hope that helps.

Have any of you done the Video Interview? If so, what are they asking nowadays?

Just finished the video interview. From start to finish it took less than 20 minutes.
Once you click the link, you will be taken to a welcome page where you enter some basic information (name, e-mail, etc). After that will be a quick welcome and overview and then a setup page to test your camera and microphone to make sure everything is working properly. You then have the option to run through a few practice questions that are supposedly not retained or viewed by the recruiting team. After that the actual interview starts.

The interview portion consists of 5 questions. Each question is presented in a short video clip by someone from the recruiting team. You are then given 60 seconds to formulate your response after which the program will automatically been recording giving you 1 minute to give your response before the recording automatically stops. THERE ARE NO RETAKES.

After the last question, there is a short video clip thanking you for participating and letting you know that your responses will be reviewed and you will be contacted by a member of the recruiting team on what to expect next.

Hope that helps for anyone that was selected for the video interview.

I just got the email for the video interview. Do you remember any of the questions or does anyone know what they ask? Thanks

Biased for action.... google that before the interview, everything else is straight forward

Anyone had any feed back since completing the video interview?

navy1998 07-23-2019 12:10 PM

Completed mine almost a week ago and haven't heard anything yet. Hoping someone hears back soon so we can get an idea how long to expect.

So they had you do the video interview first and now a phone interview? Mind if I ask what day you did your video interview?

It’s a bit confusing. I got an invitation to phone interview on the 11th, then heard crickets until a video invite on the 16th. I submitted my videos on the 17th. Now another phone interview invite today. So...I don’t know. I kinda threw it out there to see if anyone else had a similar contact sequence.

I was invited to a phone interview first and then responded with my availability dates. After the first two had passed without any response, I sent an email and then shortly after relieved the invite for a video interview instead. I unfortunately submitted my video interview on the evening of the 16th and haven't heard back at all. Being that you sent yours in after mine and heard back makes me believe mine didn't make it to the next level. Guess I'll be looking for the TBNT email now. Good luck.

If you didn't get to the next level they would have told you. This isn't Delta. They have never been organized and never will be. No news is probably good news you're a contender until they tell you you're not.

This is good practice for if you actually get hired here.

Thanks, appreciate that insight.

They are still pushing their so called values?

"Biased for action" means to them be prepared to take action and take risks but if you screw up its your ass and you'll be held accountable. If it pays off you'll hear nothing unless you're top management then you'll put out a memo telling everyone how smart and daring you were. Like bragging at the craps table. Charming concept.

Was aviationinterviews.com pretty accurate for the video interview? Looks like it might be pretty outdated

You are a contender even after the tbnt email. I received the tbnt email and was hired three months later. Go to the meet and greet. Treat it like an interview.

Video interview- October

Has anyone done a video interview this month? I just had one last week… Just wondering what the timeframe is from hearing back from them?
Thanks in advance.

Hurondriver 11-01-2019 07:40 AM

I received an e-mail: "As we are finalizing our 2020 class dates, we ask you to please upload a new resume with your updated hours to your existing application / profile. We will be in touch with you regarding next steps." I received Monday evening. Updated my Resume Tuesday morning and responded that I did as requested and haven't heard anything yet. Should I expect a phone or video interview prior to face to face? I did do a meet the chief event back in August. Does anyone know how far they have classes filled?

Any chance you and list some of the questions asked for the video interview? Or DM them to me? Thanks

DiamondDriver 12-12-2019 05:03 PM

After completing the video interview I noticed that my status on the online application changed to interview stage. Does this indicate that I was successful in passing the video interview?

African swallow or European swallow?

In order to maintain air speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings forty three times every second, right?

Omen38 01-28-2020 06:09 PM

I just did the video interview on the 17th, and I haven’t heard anything yet. Other threads have suggested that the February classes might have been filled already but I’d have thought I would have received a “TBNT” email by now if that were the case. Anyone have any thoughts or insight about this process? I have no idea.
