It really varies quite a bit depending on the base. If you're willing to pick up on your days off you can credit 100+ on a junior reserve line in a lot of the large bases even during the slow months. I've also sat reserve in a small 2 plane base and didn't have the opportunity to make much more than 80-85hrs on a reserve line but I was able to pull that credit by only putting on a uniform an average of 4-5 days a month. I'm not in a small base now and I get worked pretty hard on reserve so I usually don't want to pick up all that much on my days off but it's there if you want it. I'm junior in the left seat but fly with junior FO's all the time who tell me the same about credit. YMMV from base to base though. I hope this helps.

Aerocrew has a post on FB that says “Allegiant is in the process of hiring 100 pilots between now and November!
- First Year: 57/hr
- Second Year: 101/hr
- Max Captain: 227/hr
Flights are a mix of day turns and 2-3 day trips.”
This is the first I’ve heard of 2-3 day trips at Allegiant. Can any of you provide some insight into the percentages of overnights? Thanks.

Allegiant has always had some overnights. We still do a fair amount of charters that require overnights. LAX-CVG is at times an overnight and at other times is heavy crewed. We are doing some 5 leg a day, 2 days out of BLI and LAS in September.
All of those are like any other trip at Allegiant, if they are productive, then they go senior. I believe that you will see more and more overnights as we seek to increase utilization on the Airbus. However, we are a long way from the majority of trips being something other than out and backs.
The CBA is a 5 year contract signed in 08/2016.

All bases do charters from time to time, but bigger bases see them more frequently due to more aircraft being available. Why would you want to get TDY’ed frequently?

Ok, I was just curious. I know you’ve heard it before but this is not a commuting airline. If your interest in coming here isn’t because you’d like to be primarily in your own bed every night, I really don’t see what the attraction would be. You can go to Spirit or Frontier and see a variety of flying and make more money in the process.
