I actually heard a number close to that as well. Fairly legit source.

Company has never run 2 classes a month for multiple consecutive months ever before until now so those numbers seem plausible.

It's understandable that a lot of pilots here come from defunct airlines and they have the professional equivalent of battered wives syndrome. However a simple call to a CP or anyone in the training department will confirm these rumors are true. They are not running weekly CP meet-and-greets (which is basically an on-site interview) for nothing. The hiring in the next 6 months will be huge, the only question now is why/where.

So what is the best choice for a new fo
Go to new base small base or pick senior base. If you have the choice of bases which base is better as a junior fo to be tdy to other bases. Im asking money wise

New base and be senior. When AVL opened the #1 FO was a new hire. Only 4 FO's on property bid SAV. I'm willing to bet the first new hire to bid ABE will be top 25%.

This is true, but a half truth.

A newhire is a newhire and even though you're artificially senior in a junior new base you're still the bottom of seniority overall. After the base catches on and line FOs look at their seniority there they will bid it and you will move down. You can also count on senior VBD and TDY pilots bumping you back in your base. So don't go somewhere you hate because you think you'll inflate your seniority because you may end up at the bottom anyhow in a place you hate. Better off to take a base you can tolerate and suck it up with low seniority.
