Any short or long term disability or loss of license coverage provided by the company?
That $207 is every paycheck twice per month for employee plus spouse plus children.
Currently company provides LTD up to 60% of base pay up to $7500 for 5 years.
STD is not paid for.

One plus of the insurance is all visits to Minute Clinic at CVS is free. No copay. Saved me hundreds between my family and me.

Kid has a fever? Go to minute clinic and the Physician Assistant working there. They can write a prescription if needed as well. No copay unless it’s for the prescription.

I really do like the Minute Clinic benefit.....FWIW, I’ve always had a nurse practitioner and they can prescribe whatever medication you need right there(the CVS pharmacy has excellent rates with TeamCare).

5 years own occupation, and to 65yrs old after that(correct me if I’m wrong).

Do you mean it's Own Occupation for 5 years and then continues until 65 as "regular" LTD? Is there a buy-up offered through the union or is 60% the max?

So, the “buy up” is 5yrs and has been paid for by the company the past few years, luckily.....but the LTD “Basic” is 2yrs and still pays 60% of min guarantee up to $7,500/month. I believe in 2020, we all go back to basic and have to elect the buy-up to get the full 5yr own-occupation coverage. CBA becomes amendable in Feb 2021....that’s an entirely separate can of worms though!

Just an FYI, health insurance is mandatory. You do not have the ability to say no even if your spouse carries the health insurance.
