Would having the ATP-CTP course complete be enough or would I need to complete the check ride on my own and then get some experience or a type post check ride to be remotely competitive. TIA

There will be more at some point next year. They just haven’t announced them yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That was last weeks plan. Standby for this weeks plan. I suspect if they are still interviewing, they are planning on classes sooner than that, but they don’t tell us that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk more classes are planned for this year but the dates are not finalized. |

Because every time they share with us any info that is supposed to stay internal, some genius goes ahead and writes it up here for the world to know few minutes later.
It's actually embarrassing. Let's be smart. When you post stuff that's clearly marked "internal only", don't ***** when they stop telling us stuff. |

As of yesterday, it looks like 19 openings left for the February 24th class.
|
I see they have late Feb. available for new hire. Is anybody able to do some digging see if any March/April/May classes may be available?

They keep talking about 600+ routes to be opened, that means we need people. Also: a class of 22 upgrades has just been scheduled for the beginning of March and another smaller one will be following in April... we don't have the capacity to push through so many at the same time so there has to be a break, but again, we need pilots. |
Commuting
Hi guys, I know commuting has been addressed on this forum but just want to see what you think as it pertains to my situation. Currently living in Maryland and looking at moving on from my regional and into one of the LCC/ULCC. I like the idea of Allegiant as it is only day duties but I wont be able to move to a base for a number of years (due wife's career). Is it feasible to commute from MD to say PIT, ABE or AVL and still have some sort of QOL? Looking on Allegiant's website it looks like they only fly BWI to ABE.
Would you say stay or jump ship and get ahead on seniority now? Thanks again |

Would you say stay or jump ship and get ahead on seniority now? Thanks again also, our management is ‘integrity challenged’ and they won’t treat you like the professional you are. You will most likely be treated with much more respect at ANY other airline, including your regional. We (the pilots) would LOVE to have you and many people are able to make the commute work however, if you come here don’t complain on this forum or our closed group about your schedule or lack of commutability, those who do are incredibly annoying. |

In my opinion people come here for the day trip lifestyle to live in a base they call home or want to call home. We aren’t the highest paid airline. I would argue that pilots here do not ever want to see this place turn into an airline that does multi day trips with overnights. If that were to ever happen, there really wouldn’t be much of a reason to stay here as any other airline would have a better pay, retirement, and work rules.
i just can’t recommend coming here and commuting. Can it be done? Sure but at what cost? So you can be miserable and your wife and kids be miserable then find yourself in divorce court? Don’t do this to yourself. my .02 worth. |

I live in LAS and am thinking of sending in an app for Allegiant. What happens if I got a CJO and was not awarded LAS out of training. I have no plans to move but would not have any issues commuting for a bit. Would I basically be required to rent an apartment wherever I was assigned until I could hold Vegas?
As a prior mil guy the perk of being home most nights is very attractive. Thanks! |

Come here knowing that you will probably never upgrade in LAS until very late in your career most likely. Few retirements and minimal LAS growth will make it difficult. |

Yes, with no issues. ABE is the most undesirable base in the system, as such it will always be a constant revolving door.

Sounds like the base to be at! It also doesn’t hurt to live 30 miles away. maybe late 2020 or 2021 I’ll start applying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
How many retirements in CVG in the next few years? Anybody have an idea? When I did a meet and greet I was informed that many of the ABX guys got on Allegiant when it went mostly Tango Uniform.
|
Seen a couple people post of being in a post interview pool for the next class.
Anyone heard if they are still actively hiring or maybe holding off until next class dates are announced? Seems like next expected class would be in May? Suggestions about proper amount of followup post video interview and meet/greet but no f2f invite? Haven't seen another meet/greet posted yet. Thanks! |
What makes you think May?
|
Upgrades were mentioned to be likely to take priority in March/April plus March madness/spring breaks making Mar/April busier flying months so less likely to do new classes
|
Management said last week at a PIE town hall that they hope to resume hiring late in the summer (July-August). They would prefer to run small classes of less than 10 once a month indefinitely. Attrition is currently 3% CAs and 6% FOs.

Maybe the 6% FO attrition is true but I have been at the same seniority for months now. Early 2016 hire.

Hey guys. I posted this on another thread, but this one seems more active so I copied and paste.
When I completed the first assessment they send you after you apply, I never got a complete message or anything. It just went away and the Allegiant Community page popped up. I'm not sure if it went through. Did that happen with anyone else? |
That happened to me, the general consensus among my class was that it's a failed assessment. Bad personality. I was able to get an interview by going to a meet and greet. Good luck

Huh. Well that sucks. Okay thanks Be nice if it said that and not just disappear. Will it tell you under your application status if they decide to turn you down because of the assessment? And how long to wait to apply if so? Thanks
