If you don’t need the money, and don’t want to work, take it. If you need more, don’t take it. Maybe this will create some open time for those who want to work, who knows.

Why don't we all just demand 100 PCH a month to sit at home and not fly and see where we end up... It will be a lot less than 45 PCH.

Wow, what a depressing group of complainers you guys are!
I know several people who are caring for elderly parents, small children, or immunocompromised spouses. I'm betting they would love the chance to limit their exposure during the virus. I also know several pilots who are commutting to sit reserve (or composite) right now. Many would like to sit on their couch for 45 versus commute to a crash pad and be away from home for 70 or 72. Several others have independently wealthy spouses, or at least spouses who make a good living, and would like a couple of months of flexibility.
Everyone keeps their benefits (401k, Med, Dent, Travel, JS, etc)
The union didn't give the company anything other than the ability to let a portion of the pilots stay home at a time when flying is scarce.
Everyone has the option to keep rolling the same as before. No one is making anyone take ETO. It's 100% voluntary.
If you don't take it, you'll still get your 70/72 and just have less flying and more sitting.
This thread is littered with a ton of misinformation and whining. It's simple. Don't like it? Don't take it! Like it? Take it! It's as simple as that. If you don't want it, you never have to think about it again.

Must be a sad life, waking up on a Sunday morning to post stupid memes on APC. To put things in context, Southwest is offering half line guarantee, and spirit is offering 50 hrs. Alaska, JetBlue and frontier haven't offered anything. MG already knows if he's taking the bail out money, if a few dozen pilots take a 45 hour line or not makes absolutely no difference.

Yep. This is spot on. This is a win for everyone. Would more have been better, sure, but 64% of guarantee (plus benefits) to stay at home is nothing to sneeze at.
