Default Bad news

Company to send 225 furlough notices, planning on 115 downgrades, and downsizing to 9 bases. This if CARES 2.0 is not signed, they say.

Happy Monday everyone.

Personal opinion: CARES 2.0 will be signed, it will not include restricting rules as far as employment and company will furlough anyway, maybe just 100-150 pilots. Downsize to 9 bases is a very expensive move, so who knows.
Happy Monday everyone.
Does CARES2 include ANY money for airlines?

Visitor here.

1. Furloughs suck, and I hope Allegiant finds a way to avoid them.

2. I've done some digging in the proposed CARES II; I don't see anything in there for airlines comparable to CARES I.

Fluid situation, however. Here's to hoping.

Union update. Actual number was 275 though, not 225.

They provided the union with the prospective furlough list as required per the CBA. WARN letters will follow to the affected individuals.

I know this is a "bad news" thread but it needs to be mentioned that the union lobbyist is quite confident that the Cares 2.0 will be signed which is believed to have 32 billion to the airlines. The furlough announcement is likely a requirement to qualify to some of the "free" federal money.
