No furloughs til June 2021
STTO program basically allowed Company to involuntarily assign the most junior position (base/seat) if less than the minimum number of STTOs were bid for by the senior pilots in that base/seat. Not sure how it got confused, but the involuntary leaves would absolutely go in inverse seniority order. The voluntary leaves would go in seniority order. So, yes there are some mid seniority pilots that could be forced to take a one month leave at 45 PCH who are not at risk of being furloughed.
The big catch on all of this is that the Company was offering a "no furlough clause" from October to June 2021. That part is generous on the Company's part (NK's EIL/VIL program was only a furlough mitigation - not a total prohibition on furloughs) which why i'm sure they wanted the ability to involuntarily force an STTO leave... its just math.
We work for a penny pinching airline (Allegiant Stadium and SS swamp resort notwithstanding). They are gonna make sure the math works in their favor with this pilot group. Its either gonna be through involuntary furloughs or in an involuntary leave. At least with the involuntary leave you get paid 45 PCH and you can only be forced to take the leave for one month before going back to full MMG.
I actually got the full EIL/VIL MOU that spirit/alpa put out. I'll post that in a separate post.

Decert is utter nonsens...probably an alpa fanboy. we are barely even teamsters at this point, EXCO is running the ship w/o the silly 1224 politics. we get the infrastructure of the teamsters and the autonomy of our own local. that's called a win/win.

That's pretty harsh. If me taking a few months off and still getting full bennies and 45 PCH can help a more junior pilot stay off the street then i'm going to strongly consider and I think a lot of other senior pilots would consider taking it too - especially knowing that any cost savings were going exclusively towards keeping our fellow pilots off the street.

You make it sound so nice. You forgot to mention that there is no limit on this involuntary leave. The company can involuntary half the pilot list one month and the other half the next month. There is no one on the seniority list that is safe from their proposal. Meanwhile since I am an FO in a senior base I can get involuntary leave every other month while someone 3 years junior to me can get full pay because they are in a more junior base. No thank you. That is not how seniority works.
Wake up. Rolling involuntary seasonal leave has been a dream of this company for a long time. They are trying to threaten us with furlough to make it happen.
