"Local 2118 does not endorse or condone any concerted refusal to pick up OT, SAP or VFN and encourages pilots to pick up time using those methods if they desire to."

Does that mean the bullying and demonization will stop? Apparently not...

Are those who choose not to pick up not entitled to think that those who do are pieces of sh*t? I don’t see that as bullying, I see that as an opinion. Acting on that is a different story.

You obviously haven’t gotten the support you came here to rally. So that tells me that maybe the union isn’t exactly doing that bad of a job? Crazy. I wouldn’t be totally shocked if it came to light that you’re a member of management who has come here to stir ****. Because that’s exactly what someone who is in management at Allegiant Airlines would do. Stir ****. This is classic Allegiant management behavior. It’s a bit juvenile how management attacks and belittles the IBT in every single memo that is sent out. I’ve never heard of another airline that treats their pilot union *this* hostile except for maybe the bottom feeder regionals. And Allegiant management is better than that right..... right? .... right? No? Maybe not.

The company has harmed itself by unnecessarily laying off your coworkers. You just happen to be senior to those that were furloughed. Your tune would hastily change if you were of those furloughed. If they have flights that go unstaffed, maybe they should bring back the folks they furloughed. I bet the problem would get solved.

I don’t think you understand how unions work or the definition of communism. But know this, when you look around the room and can’t figure out why everyone is saying what you’re doing is wrong, maybe you should take a step back and ask those very people.

Is OT at premium rates with Allegiant? And do you still have massive reserve lists that aren’t being burned through?

This thread is asinine.

Beware of the management trolls. The company law firm (F&H) gets their jollies out of coming on here and trolling pilots.

Also, any public talk of illegal job actions should be halted immediately. In 2017, the Spirit pilots got an injunction because of a poorly organized open time campaign on this very site. It's everyone's personal decision whether to pick up time or not, and nobody should be called out or shamed for doing it. Especially, people should stop talking about it. The last thing we need right now is our EXCO getting handcuffed by an activist, management friendly Federal judge.
