Do you have negotiated rates established for these aircraft yet? I don't see anything on APC...

Last I heard they wanted the pilots to fly them for the same rates as the MDs. Yuck!! There was some talk of getting a new pilot group...ala alter ego airline to fly them.

I hope they already have something in place otherwise it could get ugly.

I can honestly say so far I have shot myself in the foot by leaving there. The rest of the industry is still stalled out with not much hope this year either, not what I was planning on when I left there....Yuck again!

thats interesting for what is a very interesting airline. I just read that article in air transport world on their secondary city to vaction destination model. they are like Cape Air is to Commutair in the northeast, instead of $5M 1900Ds we fly $200K 402s to vacation destinations. I wish I could post it but its not online.

So what are they planning, Knoxville to Reno to Kona?

So I understand two crews, one flies out and deadheads back and vice versa?

Maybe they will start hiring! That would mean another 20 pilots off the street! SWEET VICTORY!

Hey, look at that!!! The announcement comes right after the pilot group signs a contract based on company earnings. And suprise! No pay rates for the 757.

Please tell me new pay rates will be negotiated for these airplanes!

No kidding, 100 bucks an hr, that would be a travesty.

The 757 and MD-80 rates are the same..

The rates you see on the "airlines" section are until May 1 of this year. After that the new rates go into effect. It's a 4 tiered scale dependent on company profitability.

Tier 1 is about 20% higher than the ones you see on this site and tier 4 are about 45% higher across the board.

We are guaranteed tier 3 or 4 for the first 12 months. After that it's anybody's guess...

In short, the new raise puts us at close to the DL md-80 rates (for a year) to fly the -80 and the 757.. If we remain uber profitable it stays that way... If our profit margin decreases, we're lookin at roughly somewhere between United 737 rates and Frontier's A320 rates (so they say).

In my humble opinion, should the ALPA drive fail; this pilot group has succumbed to both Shiny Jet Syndrome complicated by a flashy "smoke in mirrors" pay scheme.

Hopefully it all works out and I'm wrong...... Doubt it though.. History has proven here that this pilot group will bottom feed like the worst of em...

No it would be business as usual for allegiant.Airlines have looked at the regional pay game and realized that they can pay a pilot however little they want. Not only will there be someone else to sly, but the pilots themselves will always take a bullet if it means saving their job!
