We have voted in a union and are working on it, but these are the current work rules.

year 4-6 ... 45 hours a year
year 7+ ... 52 hours a year

Sick calls paid at 100% if it brings you under the 70 hour guarantee. If over 70 hours you must use PTO. See above.

Any extended injuries, illness or pregnancies will remove all accrued PTO before paying Short/Long Sick Pay. Required to work at corporate in Las Vegas regardless of where you're based to receive further 70 hour pay guarantee. If unable then unpaid.

Scope: none

Deadhead pay is only $20/hr if you are over guarantee. If you are under guarantee, it's $1/hr, and those hours are supposed to be credited towards guarantee.

I thought the VP of Flight Ops just put out a letter to all the pilots saying you didn't have any work rules?

Wow! That sucks. I'm surprised a bunch of you guys aren't jumping to the Majors at the first opportunity.

No wonder they are making so much money .. Living off of the hard work of the employees

100 dollar stock price doesn't come from nothing

G4 has enjoyed for over a decade now, cheap airplanes, surplus pilots, and a POI who looked the other way, when it came to training and MX. The accountants who run the company are still living in this paradigm.

Lots of growing pains coming. The only question is, when the strike vote will take place.

There is a thread near this one titled "Delta Pay Question". The company (Delta) had taken a trip from a pilot for IOE and paid them for it. This pilot was asking if he or she could then pick up a trip for holiday pay, in effect triple-dipping. As I read it through teary eyes, all I could think was how far Allegiant has to come in order to come even close to a situation like this. If this had happened here, the pilot would still have been paid, but would have been put on reserve (for the original footprint of the trip) and most likely given some horrendous assignment. Then the assignment would drag into the original rest period and when queried, scheduling would mutter something about flexibility before threatening to call the Chief Pilot and hanging up.

This doesn't surprise me a bit. Upside: You guys finally have a Union. Downside: You always have to start from scratch.

I think a whole boatload of guys are going to realize this and bolt for greener pastures. Even the guys who live in Vegas are gonna head for SWA.

The ONLY upside to that is there will be rapid upgrades...at least until THOSE guys get Major jobs.
