You don't have ME Turbine time, i.e. the 3000 hours or so they are looking for as a minimum. Helo, just like UAV time or V-22, is not a player...no different than having nothing but 172 or Aztec time to meet the absolute minimums. That being said, an impressive hey, how you doin' at a meet and greet could make all the difference.

Are they really screwing newhires out of per diem when they're sent outside of their training base for sims or IOE? Well, of all the cheap, lousy ways to save a buck!
Way to make these new pilots feel welcome, and build a long term relationship with them. This is the sort of thing that makes newhires update their resume. Do we really want to become a training facility for other airlines, handing out free A320 type ratings? Short sighted move.

For those of you outside looking in, yesterday, Allegiant put out a memo stating that they are downgrading 30 Captains, eliminating Virtual Base (VBD) and are also bumping pilots from other bases all over the system. Not only that, they will be using a technical maneuver to abrogate seniority, and not allow us to displace/bump into a base we want. This is due to the way Displacement and Position are defined in our contract (Category/Class, not Domicile). If you're living in Rio Linda, that means taking our seniority away, and forcing us to commute into a base we don't want (Allentown, Des Moines, Grand Rapids, etc) while pilots junior to us stay in the bases we do want. This comes after they laid off 200 pilots (20% of our list). All while they brag to their investors what great financial shape the company is in. They are profiting off the pandemic.
Last week, they announced that they are suing Arbitrator Richard Bloch in federal court, because they lost an arbitration award over forcing us into "must work days", while junior pilots get the day off, in violation of our contract. This sort of bad faith move is completely unheard of, and just another delay mechanism to avoid compliance with the ruling.
Everyone who comes here is sold sleeping in their own bed every night. Some pilots even talk about how they will accept lower compensation just to be home every night, unlike every other airline. If they go through with this, they will never get another pilot to come work here after this gets around. We are witnessing the death blow of Americas's most profitable airline. Frank Lorenzo is laughing in hell right now.

I get you are upset, we all are. This company goes out of its way to **** on us. But pilots will still come and we will still continue to win arbitrations one by one as demonstrated over the last few years.

It doesn't look like you're in any danger of getting bumped out of PIE, Tom, so it's easy for you to scoff.
I say a death blow, because contrary to popular belief over at HQ, the planes make the money here. ****ed off, unproductive pilots don't go above and beyond to keep the operation running. I think yesterday was the last straw for a lot of pilots who are going to make a personal choice to do the minimum of their job and let the system work from now on. This company used to be a lean machine, but when VFNs are going out and flights are being delayed hours or canceled, passengers regret that cheap fare and tell their friends on social media. This isn't a good time for an airline to **** off those who control their revenue, yet they keep doing it.
You're right, they will get pilots, but they won't be quality. Talk to some people involved with training the last few classes. a lot of them had issues.
I think MG finally overplayed his hand.
