Congratulations to the Allegiant pilot group for gaining some well deserved exposure in the news! These airline executives would be embarrassed if they weren't soulless demons.

Sounds good.....there's a "Pilot Shortage" after all.
Except the reality is as a non-military non-flowthrough applicant the average Allegiant pilot has barely a ghost of a chance at a legacy job, al least for now. Spirit/Virgin/jetBlue/Frontier yeah maybe if you want to risk starting over at the bottom and can afford new-hire pay. The one decent option that seems to be hiring some Allegiant folks is Southwest, but you may have a 15-year upgrade timeframe.

Heard L3's looking for some ISR pilots in Iraq....

2 guys I was hired with were hired at United that I know of. In less than 2 years, my new hire class has experienced almost 25% attrition. They are hiring us out there. Keep plugging away. I am.

Good for them.....I'm kinda tired of hearing about all these awesome opportunities out there....friends (captains) being sent home from job fairs with admonitions to "volunteer more & get some management experience"......in the 250 range @ Allegiant barely moving up at all tells me the 5-year & up crowd are either not trying or just can't get hired....we're probably considered too weird for sticking around here this long lol.

Out of the 12 people that were in my new hire class at Allegiant, I think there are 2 left.

Everyone else has moved on to other, and better, places.

Maybe it takes 15 yrs, doubt it, but in 6th yr pay $160K easy and by 10 yrs easily making $200K as an FO. After a new contract signed that money will come quicker.
