Was 29 the planned class size? Were there no shows? Is training backed up because of the shortage of Check Airmen?

I know people in the September class were awarded CLT in the March vacancy but does any one know if those are all people on the Bus or if that includes the 737? Can any one shed any light on the most junior 737 guy in CLT and what base is the least terrible to commute to until you can get back to CLT if you are awarded the 737 in training. Thanks

Commuting to any of the bases that have satellites is difficult. Example being LGA 737 base covers not just LGA, but also EWR and JFK….another example is LAX 737, covers SNA, ONT, SAN, as well as LAX. MIA is another….

CLT 737 is actually pretty senior, relatively speaking. Jan 2019 hire is the most junior 737 CLT. Best bet is to bid to the 320 ASAP.

All commuting right now sucks. Pretty much every flight to NY now is a 737 (1 jumpseat) and full. Not to mention you have to cover all 3 airports in NY/NJ, which is less than desirable.

MIA is a little better because at least every flight has 2 jumpsuits (airbus). Probably more flights per day to MIA right now, since AA has given up on NY flying and surrendered it all to JetBlue.

737 Charlotte FO is one of the smallest groups in overall while I think 320 CLT FO is the largest. 737 CLT will probably take longer than any other narrow body seat/base combo at AA unfortunately. You could get CLT 320 in your first vacancy.

What is the most junior base with the 737 that doesn’t cover more than one base?

Probably DFW, with ORD and BOS not too far behind.

Yeah I haven’t been to Miami yet but I believe the 737 is almost all Miami flying, rarely FLL and very rarely PBI unlike NYC

Yep. FLL and PBI make up maybe 10% of the total MIA 737 trips.

I’ve heard PBI trips go very senior? Any truth to this? Figure it just has the least flying and anyone living north of FLL on the entire coast/central Florida would prefer a much shorter drive.
