Because Boeing sucks. That’s why.

It would be nice if pilots thought more about the people they were carrying around.

Give me a break. There is no reason the temperature control for the passengers should be in the cockpit. We have enough to worry about than guessing the comfortable temp back there and getting called every 20 minutes as the front FA battles with the rear FA over hot/cold.

There is absolutely no reason that, in 2017, the temperature control couldn't be a digital thermostat and controlled from the cabin. It's just more Boeing ancestor worship (and lazy design).

First world problems.

I miss some things about the bus, but I'm still having a great time in the left seat of the 73. I'll end up where ever my "juniority" works best. Don't care about what airplane its on. And I'll always be a proud member of the "over worked 80 fo club". Still wishing I'd flown the 72, at least for a little while.

As far as wishing:

Flown the 72 yes, plumbed it... Nope

Get a long runway, 160,000 lbs 737-800, 22K motor with derate, Flaps 1.

When the FO calls 'rotate' you rotate....and the plane just sits there, nose in the air, rolling down the runway but not climbing, and you're thinking 'climb you little MF!' It's just like the 727.

Landing? Land once with F30. Next landing with F40. Then imagine what F35 would be like. That's a 727.

Remember trying to get the S80 above FL350? You're now qualified on the 727.
