I sat reserve for 2 months and moved up fast! Put my bid in for the BUS PHL and was awarded it fast and boom Group II pay with a great schedule. They are still holding me and I'm about to hit 3rd Pay and enjoy an awesome QOL. Great pay and great schedule equals winning. Many of the flows that commuted started realizing that the 190 was the plane to take if you wanted a QOL as a commuter.

I'm gonna be sad when they release me, however I'll be bidding nicely once I go over to the BUS in Philly.

If you get the 190 and commute you'll find it's not a bad deal at all.
As a third year Airbus FO you'll be bidding in the low 70%. You'll be doing a lot of LAX, SFO, ORD junk.

What do you do if you are assigned this fleet and essentially making first year pay for a few years while everyone else gets to go on and start making the big bucks??

Are there any classes where no one goes to the 190? 737 and 320 only?
Any insight? Thanks
You're only seat locked for 6 months as a new-hire. If hired in Jan you'll probably be done with training March/April, add 6 months to that and that's when you can switch equipment. Once you switch equipment you'll be seat locked for 2 years, not base locked. Congrats on the class date. You'll be happy to see your projected retirement number!

Can someone within the company take a projected new hire's age and get an idea of his projected retirement seniority? I'm trying to figure out which CJO to accept

It won't be accurate unless the union does it. How old are you? I can tell you how many pilots are younger on property.

That's why I'm hoping I get held another 4-5 months.

If you're...

AGE CURRENT pilots
23-29 1 CA & 11 FO
30-35 18 CA & 227 FO
36-40 48 CA & 669 FO

Ex: if you're a 41 years old you will retire around 1000 seniority.
FYI: There are roughly 1,500 wide body CA (330,767,777,787)

You'll be in a good position at 38. There are 130 (38) 106 (39) and 115 (40). You'll retire in high 700 to low 800.
