On the rest of it you're right. Mostly it's water under the bridge except when I see the same apathetic attitude on display- that's how we get crushed every time. 2020 is not that far away and we definitely do not have our act together. It sounds like it'll be a similar negotiating team dynamic as last time. The same one that failed at everything except the hourly pay rates.
Nonsense. The credit has nothing to do with the no float campaign. It was a recruiting tool and nothing more.

What are a few whining former TWA pilots after right?
Probably the same thoughts on LTD right? Doesn't affect me so it's all good right?
It's only ten dollars an hour...that's how contracts are eroded.

What's next, you work part time for Mr. Glass?
WTF are you talking about? Where in my post did you get any of that? You're delusional. I said that they didn't convert 319's to 321's because of the JCBA...nothing more.

Opinion only. Here's another opinion from several guys that have spoken with management - take Parker at his word. The total compensation got out of whack with DL and UA and he decided, with reminders by others, that he had said he was against letting the pay get too far out of whack.

The no float was a dud. The company wouldn't throw money at the problem unless they needed a fix. They didn't, ergo the belief that the pay increase had nothing to do with the no float flop.

1. The last A319 delivery was in July 2015. The lead time is at least 12-13 months so the order for only 321's started in the summer of 2015 before the JCBA talks started.

2. It's not uncommon to order smaller models and then change to larger models when the build is started. It reduces the amount of money the customer has to front load before the construction process starts.

3. It's a 5.7% pay difference between G2 and G3. The percentage of total operating cost is less than 1%. That doesn't cover trip costs. They buy the a/c for the size they desire.

4. AA ordered A319's to get 125 seaters. The merger with LUS wasn't on the horizon at the time. The merger gave LAA a significant number of A319's so the new 319's were converted to 321's instead.

5. DL doesn't pay the 321 at G3 rates.

6. UA does match the 757 pay with smaller a/c pay rates. It pays the 757 at G2 rates, not G3.

7. LUS guys, of which you are one, would have benefited from making the 321 a G3 a/c and would have hurt the LAA pilots in the SLI. Why would APA do that?

757-200 pays 737-8/9 rates at United. There is a chance that will be decoupled and a new pay category created for 757-200/300, 767-300/400, which would make more sense. The whole 767-400 banded with group 1 pay was idiotic SLI BS.
