Can someone clarify the training pay for the new AIP? From my understanding previously it was average line value and with AIP could be changed to 2.75 hours per day. I'm assuming this is every day of the month and not only during scheduled training? 82.5 hours in a 30 day period? Thanks.
Sorry stupid question coming...Just to clarify this, to calculate pay during training, it would be 2.75 hrs per day, is that days of actual training? Or do you get paid for every day of the month while assigned to training?
How does pay work between indoc and getting in the sim?
Then it would be 2.75 hrs x # days x $108?

Looking forward to meeting my classmates.

Congrats on your class date! I would not sweat a group chat until you guys figure out what base and equipment you are on (day 1). It will be more beneficial to have a group chat of people in the same base. After indoc, you will no longer be in a class room setting. Just you and an upgrading captain for personalized training for your aircraft. It is quite nice actually.

Base chats are harder to form or get into. I think less than 50% of my new-hire class is still in the base they were awarded in class. Once you get to base you will rarely see your peers since you never actually fly with them.

Actually it is very beneficial to have a whole class group chat. Once the class drop happened someone created a spreadsheet and put everybody's preferences on there so we pretty much knew before we showed, with a few exceptions, what we were going to get. Plus it is a great resource to ask questions or to blow off steam. Almost two years later our class chat is still very active. There may not be daily messages anymore but there are at least a few discussions per week.

Perhaps my class just did not want to be social until we all got the plane and base we did not want initially. misery loves company.. But no one created anything until a few days after. Probably right before base indoc. My base chat is definitely quiet though... Nothing to talk about yet I suppose.
