Default Caracas Flight?

What is it like flying into Caracas these days? This article I read makes it sound like a lawless wasteland with no plumbing and inadequate security at the airport: https://www.citylab.com/transportation/2018/06/venezuela-biggest-airport-is-in-free-fall/561875/

I assume AA doesn't overnight there, but how long can they manage to keep on flying there at all?

Turns only. I don’t go inside terminal unless there’s a MX issue or paperwork problem. We havent overnighted there for years or in Maricaibo.
