I use a cheap snap in case with a tri fold cover for watching movies on my commute. I take it out of that case and use no case at all while working, just a lot easier. It’s also more functional without a case...but I hate cases for my phone as well, too bulky and reduces the designed function of the unit. My lock screen has my name, phone number and base for if I leave it on the plane on accident.

The Great Land calls me.

It calls us all my friend! It was in the DFW/767 bid pack for June. I bid it, but it looks like KEF is paying my bills next month. I think the 787 got some action as well.

C’mon back to a gentleman’s jet. You want nothing to do with the 737. If Comrade Beriya designed airplanes, it would have been that! No need to torture yourself...

You should have come to your retirement party, you would have approved!

Not yet. No indication that will change either. The sequence construction doesn't really support it, as a number of trips end w a red-eye returning into LAX.

PHX 321NX will eventually go to replace the 757 routes, but that will likely go very senior.

Default ORD base for the long term

Hi all, i have a settled family in Chicago and have no plans to relocate or go WB...If a junior is given E90/A320/B737 as a new hire, would the B737 be the only choice for me considering that's only equipment out of ORD?

Just worried if i eventually get the 320 that ill be commuting out of ORD my whole life.

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Yes. The Airbus usually goes senior in class so if you want the 737, it's not an issue. Assuming you aren't one of the young kids in class that get stuck on the 190.

Serious question...you have applied, interviewed, and accepted a position at an airline. Do you understand how bidding works? How did you get to this point without an inherent understanding of the business? I'm actually kinda curious!

To answer your question no you will not be stuck on the Airbus "for life". You will be able to bid into ORD and the 737. I didn't look up the junior 737 guy but with the movement expected here you won't have to wait too long.

I don't think you realize that you just described most of our military new hires...

(not that there's anything wrong that- they seem to learn fast)

Glad I wasn’t the only one that noticed the DB response....
