I just read an article that Singapore Airlines just grounded 2 787 - 10's for engine blade premature deterioration. They use the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 TEN engines. Do all 787's use that same engine?
Here's the article.

The two different engine models compatible with the 787 use a standard electrical interface to allow an aircraft to be fitted with either Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 or General Electric GEnx engines.
In 2016, Rolls Royce began flight testing its new Trent 1000 TEN engine. It has a new compressor system based on the compressor in Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engine and a new turbine design for extra thrust, up to 78,000 lbf (350 kN). Rolls Royce plans to offer the TEN on the 787-8, -9 and -10.
In early 2018, of 1277 orders, 681 selected GE (53.3%), 420 Rolls-Royce (32.9%) and 176 were undecided (13.8%).

I have never been in a 787 cockpit. The 350 was my first bus. I can tell you that it is a wonderful office. Very comfortable for a ULH flight without the yoke. The tray table is very nice and functional as it holds a keyboard for operating the OIS (onboard information system) At DAL we operate the airplane 'paperless'. Everything can be stored and read electronically if one chooses to do so. It has been difficult teaching old dogs the new trick of not printing everything, but if you play the game it's pretty neat. All charts and checklists, and nav display (fly by mouse) are accessible with the track ball. All that being said, I am not a huge fan of the stick other than the fact that it is out of the way for 99% of the flight. I'll bet one thing they have in common though is that they are very very quiet.

Thread drift- the vast majority of CAs I fly with print out a ridiculous amount of paperwork. I’d imagine that’s similar across the industry. It will be interesting to see if that changes as junior NB CA trends closer to 3-5 years in the near future (black swans, Chinese boogeymen, zombies, SkyNet, etc notwithstanding).
