Just ordered the shirts from A Cut Above and I’m honestly excited to getting them in. Much better from what people tell me.

I was thinking of getting pants too, but wasn’t entirely sure. I’m a 38/30 and just scared that the brand will fit differently than what I’m used too.

Anyone have experience with them?

Pants fit similar to Twin Hill, but higher quality fabric, and you can do a phone order for hemming outside the options on their website. Like others have said, the color that A Cut Above stocks now is a match for Twin Hill gray not M&H blue. Give it a few months and they should have a color match for M&H.

Maybe some of you who just got new A Cut Above shirts can report back in a couple weeks with how the shirts are holding up. I've been wearing their shirts for a few years now and have been completed satisfied. I just ordered a new shirt from them two months ago, same make and model as my older ACA shirts, but this new one began showing significant pilling on the front and back of the shoulders after only a couple weeks of use along with the collar becoming discolored quite rapidly (winter flying...I ain't sweating that much right now!) Very disappointed. My 3 year old ACA shirts have zero apparent wear on the material for comparison.

Upon closer inspection, they've changed the material blend, and moved production from China to Vietnam. Say what you will about being made in China, but the older shirts from ACut Above are definitely better than this latest copy. Sent them an email with photos of the rapid deterioration and basically asked "why?".... Never got a response.

Maybe call them up, describe the issue, and see if they might exchange? I've been wearing a batch from December that's holding up just fine, wash them in cold water and low heat dry then iron, so maybe you got a rogue set.

Same issue. Sucks as I need to order a few more but am considering other options because of it.

Well, that's disappointing. Time to find a new quality fitted shirt it seems.

I have used custom pilot shirts. They are good, more expensive and take forever to get your shirts compared to A cut above, but they are good shirts. They need a little more ironing and you don't have the cool comfortable collar but they are good shirts.

I tried a Landerwood, I did not like it at all and sent it back.

Those are made in Canada using USA cotton. I preferred them until we got a bunch of freebies. Higher quality material although it is a bit heavier than the M&H.
