Rudeness actually knows very little class distinction.... I was once in the gate area and a pair of Kardashian following 14-16 yr old girls were loudly face timing a bunch of nonsense very loudly to someone else and they were well dressed in name brand attire and had access to money. They actually seemed to revel in the negative attention being poured their way by the multitudes of annoyed passengers in their immediate proximity.

All I could think about watching them was, man they're gonna be some boy's nightmare someday....very high on the crazy/good looking scale indeed.

So the “system” only works, when it works in favor of mainline pilot commuting, not Eagle pilots vacationing.

Classy post, Got it.

Must feel good talking down to people that make 1/8th of what you do, with the exact same qualifications.

Hey Mister - you didn’t fly ‘tankers’ in combat (at 250...) You clearly have no business swinging gear in a mainline A/C.

I thought I must have misinterpreted his post. Guess not. Yeah I guess some just feel they have it and deserve it, others don’t. Luckily most don’t have such DB outlooks.

Somebody get the backhoe for TankerDriver...
He needs help digging himself a bigger hole.

The fact of the matter is that all of the employees of this corporation, which includes AAL and the wholly owned Eagle carriers are viewed equally by the corporation when it comes to travel benefits. It’s been this way since since the late 80’s when AMR bought their commuter airlines and brought them in-house.

There is no entitlement when it comes to travel passes here. A new hire Envoy, PSA, or Piedmont FO with his spouse or companion will trump the number 1 pilot at AAL if he checks in sooner. It is what it is, and always will be.

Maybe your wife should’ve listed D1 and ensured she got on the list at the first possible second, Tanker. Regardless, your argument falls on deaf ears.

Just one more reason why it's better to be a Delta pilot...

Considering the approximately 130,000 AAG employees with D1/D2/D3 travel passes, the 5,000ish pilots of the wholly owned regional carriers are but a mere drop in the bucket when it comes to travel.

What's the minimum age for kids riding in Business or FC at AA on D1/D2 status?

Let me guess, their socks smelled too. And weren't of an acceptable fashion brand? I mean, you need Ralph Lauren Purple Label socks to travel non-rev, right?

It was uncalled for and while it was obvious they hate nonrevers there, I witnessed them giving paying customers attitude. I'd like to say they were having a bad day, but we witnessed it two days in a row from the same people, both with us and others. My wife speaks fluent Spanish, so there definitely wasn't a language barrier. The operation there seemed to be dysfuntional and they are short with everyone. Of course as a nonrever I had to shut up and color in fear I wouldn't get a seat assignment, but if I had been on a paid ticket, I would have let one particular agent have it good for his behavior. Anyone else have that experience there?
Not in MAD in particular, but I feel this same sentiment for customer service as a whole at AA with our front facing customer service people. I also have witnessed it while non-revving and working, and it is very embarrassing. AA falls short in many areas with customer service IMO. I get it, the general public can be aggravating to deal with, but our CS people seem to be rude with our passengers right off the bat.
