First Class Med @ time of AA Profile Creation

AA and other airlines pilot credentials specific sites have you check boxes verifying you meet the minimum requirements before creating an account. One of those is "Do you possess a valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate?" I'm active military flyer and have mine scheduled but not complete. What are the potential consequences of "leaning forward" a bit and checking yes in order to have a profile that's been sitting in the system longer?

While most interviewers are not looking to pick a fight or find a reason to say "no", I wouldn't take the chance that one of them is having a bad day. I would publish your profile without the FC1 to start the application age clock then get the FC1 ASAP and update. Even though our contract lags our peers, it's still a winning lottery ticket I wouldn't risk losing.

When the recruitment team reviews your application package, and copies of all the docs you’ve submitted, will they notice your First Class Medical is dated AFTER the date you swore you had it? The teams are looking at everything, for a potential discriminator.

If that were the case, I would imagine the team would decide you were okay with lying about something so obvious as that, so what else did you lie about?

DON’T be that guy.

Absolutely not. Find an AME that can get you in today, mine is a walk in place.

To clarify, I am not saying to check the box when you don't have it. Only publish the app if you can do it without checking the box until you really have the FCI complete.

May I ask the location? Assuming PHL area from other convos in other forums? Looking to knock mine out as well. Thank you.

the potential consequences of lying (what you refer to as leaning forward) are that you lose out on a multi-million dollar career.

I guess I’m the only person out there that got another 1st class 12 months later, and another 12 months after that. 😬

He’s military...doesn’t need a first class medical until applying to the airlines. Or maybe I misunderstood you.
