I’m ok with it...1) Just a drop in the bucket when accounting for dues from 15,000 members for years to come. $133/person one time... 2) beats spending on rent and hotels for the next 20 years (decades?) and actually putting the money toward an appreciating asset for the union instead of the pockets of landlords and hotel companies.

DC= Washington, DC. Not “Dan Carey”.

If Delta/ALPA did this, it would be lauded as a fantastic, visionary move.

Agree, it’s a smart move. The alternative is just throwing money away.

Question is:

Does anyone on Capitol Hill care what ity-bity APA thinks?

Calls for a new committee, the Flipping Committee, otherwise the appreciation has no meaning, except higher property taxes.

Maybe the folks on that new Committee can do double duty answering the phone calls on the new Complain About Something Hotline.

If you don't think we need a presence on Capitol Hill to lobby for our livelihoods, then you don't understand how this works.

I am sure this will be a wise investment. I am glad small thinkers aren't running the show.

With all that being said, I think APA should merge with ALPA to pool resources.
