If one is one the D side of the 320 in DFW but have their international quals, can/will crew scheduling assign you to fly an international trip?

YES!!!!

Even after you bid D, your I quals don't expire for a period of time. You can be at the bottom of the D list and get crushed cross division.

Same problem for EGE qual. There can be PM/PR opportunities there though.

You can request to have your I quals removed, once you hold a D bid status. Then they won't be able to use you for I trips.

That was cool and fine by me though, I needed all the IOE I could get!
That’s due to requirements for the international qual. Again silly but not because domestic divisions fly there. Have boxes to be checked and those cities don’t count.

The new hire regional pilot can fly into FPO, CUN, etc for us but we classify those for mainline as needing international qual to go. Kind of humorous but the D and I divisions mean more bodies. So I hope they keep it longer

The preliminary usually comes out about 2 weeks after closing.

Considering the holidays, I would guess 3 weeks, so about the 10th of January, as posted above.
