Republic Airline Unilateral JS Action
#171
I take it you haven't read the thread? RAH has been trying to get it to change for well over a year, and have been told it's not a priority. This is common sense and easy to implement, but there's been nothing from the AA side. So we made it equal. You can list as a D6 at the gate and have just as much ability to get a YX jumpseat as any other D6 listed, seeing as they can't check-in on the listing until an hour prior at the gate.
It's upsetting that no one on the AAG side of things seems to give a sh*t about helping fellow pilots get more equitable treatment out of a supposedly reciprocal jumpseat agreement.
Instead, the majority of posts here are about how hard this change will make it on AA guys. Welcome to the reality thousands of AAC pilots have been living in. This should make you want to do something about it.
For the umpteenth time, all of these problems have been created by AA, and they can all be easily fixed by AA. Stop blaming YX for issues that exist on your end.

Jesus Christ pull your head out of your arrogant a**, they aren’t asking to be treated the same as them. They are wanting to have JS priority below AA/WO but above OAL. Which is currently not the case. Yet you have JS priority over OAL pilots on our metal. Work on your reading comprehension skills.

You are an offline guy. You do not work for AAG.
They have no way of knowing if you are going to or coming from, an AA flight, a United flight, or a Delta flight.... nor do they care because you don't work for AA-AAG
Didn't RAH get caught recently giving A1 on DH's back to base at the end of a trip too.... or is that still going on?

Which pilot contributes more to the AA network and bottom line:
1) A non-wholly owned regional pilot who flies a third of their flights or more as American Eagle, or;
2) A Spirit guy?

This is where the toonsters have seriously overstepped. They can’t “force” AA to do squat. Like it or not, republic is simply a contract vendor for AA. Their playground, their rules. The most likely outcome would be AA simply ending the non-rev and jumpseat benefits for republic. In case anyone missed the memo, life isn’t fair, no matter how much you cry and whine about it. Get hired on at mainline if you want a higher boarding priority.
Non-rev benefits would never be at risk as these are negotiated in the actual flying contracts YX does for AA, nothing to do with the union. If you’re a “lifer” like your name suggests I’d spend some time learning about the company so you can refrain from your foolish statements.

Because you do not work for AA/AAG, they do.
As many have always said to newbies; all regionals are not the same. There are reasons to go to wholly owned carriers. This is yet another example of one of those reasons. You aren't the same as an Envoy pilot, PSA pilot, or Piedmont Pilot. You aren't even the same as a PSA ramper. They all chose to work for AAG. You chose to work for Republic.
You do not see AA/AAG employees complaining that they don't have non-rev privileges on both United and Delta.... I'm sure you do though.

I’ll just bring this back to the fore here since it seems to have been lost a few pages back.
For all intents and purposes, AA and WO pilots cannot list as D6’s. We may be able to get an agent to do it for us, but that’s highly, highly unlikely. They’ll simply tell the pilots “hey, you’re already on the list as a D2, I don’t have time to re-list you as a D6” (a notion they won’t be able to grasp anyway).
Therefore, in reality, the AA/WO pilots will now be dead last on the list of pilots vying for that jumpseat - behind Spirit, Alaska, JetBlue, etc.
Some say, well, get AA to change the policy. Lol, easier said than done with this management team. We have items in our contract that still have not been implemented due to supposed IT issues.
AA management does what they want, when they want.
