I'm getting tired of reading the attitude between the lines here, so time for a little fun....

It means exactly what the mainline Capt tells you it means you regional puke! How dare you presume to look at this in any other way! LOL

See the above line....and again, this is downright amusing.

We're getting somewhere, you're starting to see the light....

This is the point exactly! take this energy and point it at your union with others that think as you. Pressure them to fix the problem.

I realize it's hard to judge on a forum or e-mail but try to read the TONE of what you've written over the last so many pages.

This!!! for the love of all things holy, THIS!

I have YEARS (almost 3 decades worth) of being denied by gate agents. “Sorry, I don’t have time for that...”🙄
So now they GENERALLY won't do it, but you admit they can, and yet somehow, RAH is the problem.

This is from last year:

Fellow Pilots,

I am pleased to inform our membership that United Airlines Management will no longer be pursuing changes to the current jumpseat priority on UAL/UAX flights. Our efforts to raise awareness on this issue, and to voice our collective displeasure on a unilateral decision, have been successful. In the future, there may be continued efforts to implement some of the software changes that were seen as mutually beneficial, but the current and well established boarding priority in use today will remain.

Thank you to our crewmembers who have distributed literature provided by the Local to educate our United guests during this informational campaign. However, we ask at this time that we DISCONTINUE DISTRIBUTING THE JUMPSEAT LETTER. We do not wish to unnecessarily antagonize members of UALPA who are obviously disappointed with this outcome. We hope that we can quickly put this matter behind us, and begin to build a better, more collegial relationship between UAX/UAL pilots. Our Captains should, time permitting, continue to monitor the boarding area for jumpseat guests of all airlines, to ensure that we accommodate as many as we can, and in the proper priority order.

I would like to personally thank David Bourne, Teamsters Airline Division Director, for his help in this matter. His discussions with United Management on this issue were extremely helpful. I would also like to thank Republic Management for their support. It would have been much more difficult to wage a two-front war had we not had this support. It goes without saying that the diligent work our Jumpseat Committee Chairman Andrew Abu-Ghazaleh, and the cooperation and enthusiasm of SAPA President, Russ Jacobie were incredibly crucial. Lastly, and most importantly, I need to thank the membership of both Local 357 and SAPA. If not for your strength, unity and purpose we would have never been successful.

In Unity,

Captain Josh LeBlanc
Teamsters Local Union 357
Executive Board President

Not one AA or WO AA pilot here replied to any of my reasonable post about what we (yx) have to deal with, and will not admit that what we have currently is not reciprocal.

It’s like 2+2= Fish. Kudos to those of you who pick up on that reference.

I went to Asia a while ago. Took me 2 days to get back as a D1. AACs were stuck for a week. My flights were oversold with 80+ people listed for a week straight. No reasonable connections either to 2 leg it.
Out of my dozens of flights, I've been on the JS maybe 75pct of the time.
This is the norm on AA non revving. It's not easy even with D1.
It sounds like you just suck at non-revving. I’ve never had issues using AA internationally.

At least you are consistent with the quality of your posts.

We HAVE agreed countless times that the system is not reciprocal. Go back and read again how many times people have said that you need AAC FDJ.

We’ve simply pointed out that the remedy that’s been chosen has effectively put AA and WO pilots on a list BELOW all other pilots. That’s the rub.

With that said, this situation doesn’t affect ME at all. Not one bit. I wish you well in your quest for AAC FDJ, and I also hope that AA and WO pilots who want to ride JS on you guys don’t get left standing at the gate of an Eagle flight because a FedEx or Alaska or JetBlue guy showed up as a D6, which will now trump a D1 or D2 FDJ.

Legit question here 450;

What other means do you suggest that we get this to happen?

Pressure from our pilot group won't do anything.

That I don’t know. It’s a good question.

This has been my point as well. It's a dangerous game. If APA/ALPA JS reps get upset about this, APA JS MEC only has to send one email saying "please do not allow RAH on your jumpseat", and this would backfire so bad.

Yes, they should have AAC FDJ. But they are playing a dangerous game. And no, I don't know how to fix it.
