I would say LAX, mostly commutable on both ends with at least two red eyes LAX-DFW to get you home. Only had to do the crash pad thing for one month when I was short call. No need other months. This is on the 320 by the way.

What are the prospects for another west coast base? It seems geographically we are kind of the odd man out there with only 2 and they're really close to each other...
Delta (3): LAX, SLC, SEA
United (3): LAX, DEN, SFO
SW (5): LAX, LAS, OAK, PHX, DEN
Alaska (4): LAX, SFO, SEA, PDX
AA (2): LAX, PHX

Perhaps AA will buy Alaska?

Now that would be interesting, I’ve seen talk on the Alaskan forums about SWA or possibly someone else but never AA. Wouldn’t that make AA too “big”?

Yeah, I would think that would make it too big but merging with Alaska would make AA an instant west coast juggernaut and truly connect the network geographically in all 4 corners of the country and N/S in the Midwest too. Delta pretty much has free reign internationally out of Seattle which is home to some large global companies (Microsoft, Amazon, Starbucks, Paccar, Costco, Expedia ect ect)

I’m honestly not too sure. I think that more consolidation is coming. Will that involve any of the “big 3”? Who knows... I could see the Legacies snapping up some smaller carriers perhaps. American buys Alaska, United buys JetBlue, Delta buys Hawaiian, and Southwest will buy Spirit. You heard it here folks...
