Share Your Typical AA Schedule

You have to be willing to do what I call "blowing up my schedule", meaning I will trade a 5 day to something else, anything else that isn't a 5 day, even if if it's over days that I "need off" just to get rid of the 5 days. Even redeyes because if it's not a 5 day and then I've just cleared a day off my calendar! I have been awarded 5 day trips in Sept Oct and Nov and flew zero of them with no sick calls. I wish I was bidding against CAs because most I fly with really have no clue how to work it, the FOs in CLT for the most part know the game and make it a little harder with all the competition...but in CLT there are SOOOOOO many trips it at least makes it a little easier I guess....ok I've already said too much
I’m guess that because it is over thanksgiving that the company has it locked.
I’m off now till the 27th. I’ll trade anything. But I don’t have that option.
If I go through litesaber. I click “legal” on my trip I get this message:
TTOT is turned off for this date.

It's hard to explain some of the stuff here without writing a book but reserve life is actually pretty good here unlike when I was at a regional. You can commute to long call without losing days off. In my base short call reserve with weekends actually goes quite senior. There are ways to make a lot more money that way. It varies wildly from bases to base/ equipment ect.
In general Charlotte narrow body has some of the worst schedules but is the most senior base. A lot of regional type flying but on the flip side there's a lot of stuff to trade with.

Not saying this is applicable to you, but I’ve found that quite a few of the folks who complain about PBS, schedule manipulation, etc don’t take the time to use the multiple resources available to learn how to best utilize the various options. Don’t get me wrong- there’s a lot of room for improvement with PBS, red-redder, etc.

Just kidding, that just seems to be the answer whenever a commuter says anything to a non-commuter (You choose to commute, move to base!)

Even working my ass off, I'm happy to not be commuting anymore. I do miss the MIA flying though.
