APA Is Asking Everyone To Do This Now
Your Union's Government Affairs Committee is asking everyone to do this now. Your letter will make a difference.
The House bailout proposal will provide airlines $37 billion in payroll grants and $21 billion in loans. It will also restrict buybacks, dividends, and CEO salaries.
This is the key to no furloughs.

Hearing that the bill only protects labor who where on property as of 1 March 2020. As a member of the 17 March class, I think I can legitimately ask, "Has the union not demanded that all on property be protected?

Cash Grant!? How about a loan that the airlines have to pay back when times are good? No stock buybacks, heavily restricted compensation packages for management...lift the restrictions when the loans are re-payed. Free money is a bit ridiculous, we aren't Etihad, Emirates, Qatar, etc. If we start giving out grants lets give it to Southwest since they seem to know how to not go bankrupt.
Or...give them some tax money now, they stay in business, and the additional tax revenue generated by the businesses will repay the "grant" in a couple years without the detrimental effect on the economy.

It's the only strategy at the moment, unless you figure resigning from the largest airline in the world and going somewhere else in a pretty uncertain time is a better one.
I'm about 900 from the bottom here. I'm hoping I keep my job. If I don't I'll have to start over somewhere else then.
