If it didn’t mean so many of my friends losing jobs I’d say I hope those greedy sob’s in the headshed don’t get their bailout and all airlines go TU since none of the CEO/CFO’s saved for a company wide rainy day fund. Then the system can get reset and all this “we had to go thru it so you have to go thru” garbage can die. No one controls at what point in history they are born thus no one should be subject to the perpetuation of bad company policy. And not a flow or millennial here. Blue skies all. #GWOTTrapLordz

Why go on mil leave when you can just resign?

Not arrogant, worried about my job just like everyone else. The “F U, FU, You’re Cool, I’m Out” speeches are getting old.

If he was done with the airlines he would have resigned, not dropped orders. Just my humble opinion. I also am impressed with the unity and leadership of APA at time.

Yup, he should give his position to a Compass or TSA pilot who is being kicked to the street next week. I’m sure that person would be mighty grateful every single of day of his or her career. Can’t believe someone actually wrote that...

I know there's a few of us at CPZ with job offers, canceled class dates, and furloughs starting the 7th. We'll get there eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Here’s a question, since I’m relatively new to the industry and wasn’t here for the last fall. When a pilot is recalled is there a requal class they have to take or do they start off day 1 like a new hire would?

There is requal. Requirements depend on how long you are out and if you return to same A/C.

If you stay on the same A/C there are short, medium and long courses, depending on how long you were offline.
