Its not your timing that’s questionable but rather your choice of beer :p

Guess you are new to the biz. Airlines tend to hire up until they furlough.

its easy to drink, i can drink it cheaply and its what i drank tailgating in college so I have stuck with it 🤷‍♂️. Not a big fan of the heavier beers that fill me up after 2...

Nothing beats Steel Reserve! It was my flight instructor beer (although technically not a beer), one can gave you the buzz. If you finished two, you were pretty much eff'd the day after.

Is this why not a single legacy airline is hiring right now?

The furloughs are delayed by the CARES act. If not for that, the old maxim would have applied.

Bingo. Hire till you fire, fire till you hire. The standard carousel of aviation. You can almost hear the music. CARES is a brief stop-gap, the machine will be turning again soon, in the wrong direction.

They stopped hiring before CARES was a thing. They seem to have learnt their lesson.

Boy..all these doom predictions will be fun to revisit in a few months. I'm not saying some airlines won't furlough. It seems United definitely will. But to think every airline is doomed for the next decade is absurd.

We can't revisit them in a few months. In a few months, there will be no internet, because the human civilization as we know it has ceased to exist.
