APA should have came out with an update seniority list and not wait until July.
APA puts out an updated seniority list each month. APA website - committees- membership - seniority list.

The May 1 list shows 15,206. I do not believe this factors in VPLOAs.... they are still on the list.

The AApilot 3xp ALL for June shows 14,321 for a grand total. The VPLOAs are taken off of this count. Of those 14,321.... 648 are on LTD (MDSB). 374 are CK Airman. That brings us down to 13,299.

I was waiting to trade up to a new boat and wife #3, but this gives me the confidence to proceed.

Every former PSA driver still stuck on the 73 that lives in CLT I’d guess.

You must be way senior to me... not sure I’m “new boat confident”

Perhaps a smidge less “do you want fries with that” preparation

That 15,206 number includes hundreds of pilots on long term leave and is garbage in terms of active pilots.

Go to 3xp and see how many pilots bid for flying/reserve each month. That is the number that is being looked at.

We are 1600 overstaffed next summer. With additional early retirements, we should be in good shape.

There is no reason for a "holy hell" at this point.

Part of what Parker said when answering a question about possible furloughs:

"There is a better answer, and an answer that I'd like for us to be able to do. That's what we're going to work to do. It's really important to me. It is a goal not a commitment, a goal that I think is right. If we can't meet that goal we'll let you know as soon as we can what indeed we're going to do instead. But I'm pretty sure we can do it. If we work together to do the things I've said; make sure we raise enough cash, make sure we don't spend any cash we don't need to, make sure we're doing everything we can to get customers flying again we can get through this and not have to do furloughs. That's what I believe and that's what I want to make happen"

He went on to discuss how forty thousand employees have taken voluntary leaves and early retirements, and he plans to keep offering those to help right size us for now.

Look, take it how you want to but I'm sorry, I'm encouraged by this. Could we end up furloughing? For sure. Does it seem that we have a leadership team that's committed to avoiding that? Yes. You can wait for Oct 1st with dread and angst and be miserable, or you can be hopeful and get your financial house as tidy as possible as a precaution.

Why not shop for a BIGGER BOAT and just rent a wife? Works.

Relax, Nancy. You're having a conniption fit without knowing all the facts. I would post a screenshot here but I don't know how. Look at the notes at the top of the six month forecast. It says, in bold letters:

JUNE 2020 FORECAST, TAKEN FROM JANUARY 2020 BID ( THIS IS WHAT WE WERE PLANNING BEFORE COVID)

That is a direct, word for word quote. So again, relax.
