An official seniority number of 11,000 would mean he has almost 4500 pilots below him on the list...

Outside of what’s currently available for bidding.

I would have them speak to their chief pilot and union rep. I think leaves will open every month for a while.

But there could be many reasons for taking a leave, especially if they can come back.

Many LUS took an open ended leave around 2002 and went to JetBlue. Missed LOA 93 and various displacements and then came back to AA. Several around 50-60% of the list.

Everyone’s priorities are different and no harm in looking at options. Especially if the door is open to coming back.

I’m guessing you mean relative number of 11k which would be around 13k seniority number? He should talk to the union first, then a CP.

I may be wrong on this but I thought the guidance for outside flying was covered in the LOA and was different than what is in the contract. I am trying to find the reference for this.

I’ve heard they’ve actually turned down some of the unpaid leave guys, I wonder why, if true. Maybe they want everybody to stay current in event of a rapid recall?

Any ideas how you can look up your relative sensory number? I’ve tried 3XP on alliedpilots with ALL selected in all catagories. Coming up with some weird a$$ number(s). Does the seniority number include pilots on disability or MIL leave?

Thanks everyone. I passed on the advice to talk to his union rep and the CP office. What he said was the forecast from the bid was 10800 pilots by next summer and he’s sitting at 11xxx.

Where is he getting the 11,XXX..

2019 July’s seniority?

If he’s 11,xxx on the July 2019 seniorty list he’s 1600* number senior today.
