Our response to this virus is far, far damning and damaging than the virus itself.

The economy crashed, airline revenue decreased by 95% in a period of about 2 weeks, and the government spent $5 trillion to keep us out of a depression.

I had hope for the industry but the way things are going, I’m losing it.

Pretty much sums it up and we’re not much closer to being out of it.

I have a feeling this second wave is going to be the death blow to the airlines. I hope I’m wrong.

Tell that to Hawaii. 5000 dollar fines, people ratting you out and full check at the airport of where you’re going and phone number of where you’ll be. Probably can’t be as hard core in the other states but..

Maybe, but maybe not. People are starting to come out of their bunkers. We’ve seen fatalities, but not catastrophic fatality rates in the first wave, and the shock value of the Rona is wearing off. If there’s no second wave then great. If there is, then living with the Rona is just the new normal. I think a second wave would slow the recovery but not end it.

Good luck to us all.

It’s not about luck, it’s about social distancing and taking it seriously.
