Lighten up? Being exposed to border-line sabotage back then? Trust me, the CP office got plenty from me. And let's not forget those pleasant commutes on your metal! Always had to be ready for creative harassment half the time. But again, I wrote the names of all the @$$hole$ down. Laugh at my list, I frankly don't give a flying f from you and your W group denying everything all the time.

I enjoy my time off, but I won't let those guys get away with it. It sounds that you need some time off, since you're the one that brought the poop back to light.

lol

Yes... lighten up. And I DO laugh at your “list”. I know the names of a few guys that went out of their way to step on toes and if our paths ever cross, I’ll tell them EXACTLY what I think of them to their faces. But who, what, and why is between those guys and me...I don’t need to hurl stones on a web board. I never had an issue with ANY 3rd list pilot I had in the Jumpseat because regardless of what opinions they had of what they did or didn’t deserve, they kept those opinions to themselves. Same with nearly every East pilot. Don’t talk about politics, religion, or seniority. And I treated them with the same curtesy when I asked to ride on theirs.

So why are you rekindling the old fires? 66 never stopped trying to be an internet tough guy but as far as guys like Relay are concerned, we just disagreed on the methodology of integration of two groups but I never had an issue with him professionally OR personally... and now we’re ALL just AA pilots and it doesn’t matter how anyone got here. I’m tired of asking “who hired you?” so I know whether or not I like you...and I’m definitely too old to care. Easier to just be nice to everyone.

All I did on THIS thread was say the company refuses to talk about what happened to the Airbus in NYC and I think that’s a disservice to the pilot group. I don’t care who did it, I just want to know what happened and why so that *I* don’t do it. End of story. I didn’t bring “the poop back to light” until you got your feelings hurt from cactipilot’s response to someone else’s observation and then made a senseless post so geez....pump the hate brakes. I don’t even know what “great video” he’s talking about.

The company did the same thing with that massively bungled V1 cut in PHL (not the 50' aborted takeoff incident). Total silence.

I think they actually revised the discussion in recurrent about what the Bus does on T/O if you don’t fill in the PERF page to improve the understanding of “how”. Perhaps they didn’t think they needed to do a “what and why”. I suspect the need to try and dissuade pilots from an airborne abort was fairly unnecessary... no need of more Monday morning quarterbacks to rub anyone’s nose in a mistake. Lord knows I’ve made my share. (Shrug)

But I seriously have NO IDEA what happened in JFK, and I have a problem with that.

Hes not talking about the airborne abort, and the fact that you probably never heard about the event he’s talking about proves his point. A bus packed to the gills for a transcon (if I remember correctly), two jumpseaters, had a no sh!t V1 cut. Gear left hanging, controller told them to turn/ climb so they wouldn’t hit a bridge spanning the Delaware River.

Again, not bashing or critiquing the way anyone handles a situation like that because I wasn’t there/haven’t been in that situation to say I’ve done better. Plus it’s just poor form.

But learning about de identified mistakes and how to avoid them is a good thing.

They have a video of this? Interesting. Well, I had *heard* about it and it seemed like a pretty clearly defined case of “There was a lot they didn’t do right”. I’m not sure how you can further train a V1 cut... maybe if we were less concerned about talking about how somebody’s “in the yellow, moving into red” and more concerned about “know your damn procedures!” Probably not a very popular opinion. I do agree, a little more discussion would go a long way...and frankly I’m not sure anyone really cares if the errors were make by a Legacy, West, East, or third. It’s all water under the bridge now.
