Yep. Any anyone who thought furloughs were not ACTUALLY coming will be surprised when the routes are SEVERELY cut to cities will light loads and furloughs happen.

We NEED that PSP - the Country needs it. Do it for the peeps.

^^^^^ This ^^^^^

Too much other pork tied to it, it will be stalled and a CR will follow until post election.

Got to love how Pelosi calls the house back early to vote on the USPS organization.... because it benefits them for the election but won't call the house back to debate and pass another stimulus bill to help average working Americans.

You can't make this sh!t up.

You mean HR 6800 that passed in May and has been sitting over in the Senate since then? That one? Ball is in Mitch McConnell's court, which ultimately means that you can point your finger at obstructionism from Mark Meadows and his boss.

In normal politics, bills are reconciled and we move on. (See Schoolhouse Rock) Speaker Pelosi has been willing to compromise with the majority. These are not, however, normal times politically.

When you throw non starters into the game that’s not compromise. She owns it until presenting something that can pass both chambers and get a signature on it. Until then it’s on her and Chuckie as much as Mitches hands. Until then it’s time for her to stop the BS of certain ask and present a clean bill. This time it’s on her. Not saying it always is either but let’s not distort the outlandish spending she’s proposing.

Again present all the facts not just some.

Exactly. Facts don’t mater to some. Sadly they won’t accept that the bill as written is a non starter to begin. She knew it and was trying to play politics on covid just as she claims the other side is doing. Both are wrong and both sides needs to grow up. Term limits anyone?

Yeah, some really Commie stuff in the line by line: https://www.politicopro.com/blog/hr-...-bill-analysis

Setting aside the items proposed in HR 6800, the majority has had multiple months to propose their own version of relief. Relief that is necessary for our Nation’s economic security (If you don’t believe me, pick up a copy of the New York Times or Wall Street Journal from the last couple of days, both of which have had analysis of revenue impacts on local governments from COVID, in addition to impacts on multiple industries.). The minority has been willing to meet the majority on compromise legislation. If you want to be disappointed in anyone, it ought to be in lack of leadership from higher on delivering for the American people.

Drifting back to service cuts, lack of realistic bipartisan action to save our economy is going to make service cuts to these 30 cities just the start. Further cuts are inevitable as corporate travel remains suppressed as companies in multiple industries try to survive.
