Thats just simple math. Nobody can hold their breath forever. Serious question though. Can an airline operate at 35 percent and not file chapter 7?
Single type carriers with low overhead yes

Majors - one will go chapter 7 and then the other two will have room to breathe

I think 3 or all 4 majors will go through chapter 11. None will go chapter 7 and go out of business.

If the feds come up with CARES II, will it really make a difference if demand doesn't return by spring/summer? I don't think any airline can operate 33-35% of their flights and keep 100% of their employees---even SWA or B6 or DAL. Good luck to us all.
It’s a little more complex than that. Those with big business travel and international exposure are particularly hard hit, especially once they start to furlough. Predominately domestic single type LCC/ULCC carriers not so much. For the big three, most of their most expensive aviators and aircraft are nonproductive right now. But those guys aren’t the ones who would/will be furloughed. One of the reasons, I’m sure, UAL kept everyone at reduced guarantee. The training churn is going to be incredible once the big three start to furlough - if they furlough.

No more bailouts, last time the taxpayers bailed out the airlines we were repayed with higher fares and poorer service. Invest that money in high speed rail.

Nice! Travel from 1 stinky, crime-ritten, hot dusty CA central valley town to another? Brilliant plan. Google worst places to live in America...4 or 5 of the top 10 are in the CA Central Valley.

...and yes, I've lived in a couple of towns on that map. Never again.
