Because this is considering whose passengers are carried, which you said isn't a consideration. It can either be a consideration or not... it can't be both.
This is not what's being proposed. The change is to have AA be at the same level as, not below, OAL.

Allowing an OAL pilot to get the jumpseat over an AA pilot on an AA flight operated by RAH is an enormous spit in the face. Allowing an OAL pilot to get the jumpseat over another OAL pilot because they checked in first is not an enormous spit in the face. Pretty simple

This is only true if that pilot considers himself entitled to a higher tier of treatment, but what is the basis for this? Your side has been falling over itself to nullify any such basis by maintaining the separation of Republic as "other airline," that whose passengers it carries means nothing, and that business interests between the two airlines count for nothing. If an AA pilot is vying for a jumpseat ride on an "other airline" like this, then well.... it seems that that's that.

Your logic is sound if you ignore the fact that the flight you’re operating is ours. I’m not talking in business terms. Think of it like this: our contract allows that flying to go to you. It’s still ours, you just fly it. Right wrong or indifferent, we got contract gains by lending away something we own.

Well, yes I am ignoring that fact. It keeps getting raised over and over again, but never along with saying what it has to do with the jumpseat. AA contracts away some of its flying to another airline... OK then what? Does that contract stipulate anything about the jumpseat?

I have not been followings this thread, that said, I do not how how you get a flight is yours if someone else is flying it . If it is yours you would be flying it This seems like simple math to me .
