September 2021 hires can almost hold a line on the 737. December 2021 hires were able to hold lines on the 320 there first months bidding ~March, so about 10 months for 737, 3-4 for 320. In the past the 737 was quicker but who knows going forward.

Keep in mind that those months include training. So you only actually work reserve for a couple of months. If you currently live or want to live in Miami, you should come to AA. Driving to work is the single most important thing that will increase your QOL at an airline.

Even if the answer was 3 years would you then go to the other airline and commute for your whole career? If you want to live in Miami there probably isn't a better choice than AA.

Out of curiosity, what other airlines based in Miami would you go to if reserve times were too long for you at American?

Oh I worded that weird!

I want AA, I want Miami with AA. I will sit on reserve as long as I need to. I was just curious about how long it takes to hold a line.
I don't live in Miami yet, but will be moving. I do have a class date from DL, but would rather go to AA if given the opportunity because i want to live in Miami.

Wish me luck on the interview.

For those who have sent in a CJO offer from another company to AA, how long did it take to get an interview? Just got a CJO with another legacy and was thinking about this.

2 weeks for me. Don’t think it’s a sure shot but if you don’t ask, the answer is always no. Good luck.

Who would you even ask or email this request to?

Question: for those who did the pilot skills test on AA app, what did you do to prepare? Anything magical or did you just roll the dice? Also, how long from submitting the AA app until people are getting calls/emails to progress to the next step? Thanks!
