Is it worth a shot or probably I shouldn't bother before getting the Greencard + FAA ATP?
it doesn't hurt to try...they might reach out to you then and tell you what you need to accomplish before they can "hire" you...Now is as good of time as any in history to try and land a job with a US major airline...5 years ago they would probably just flip past your application, today, not so much...I dont have any of the specific answers you are seeking but maybe an email or phone call to someone in the AA pilot recruitment office could help a lot....

I think I might do just that.

Thanks!

Yeah, if you have a green card, you’re fine

most job applications have some very basic hr screening questions
1) are you currently incarcerated
2) do you hold a first class faa medical
3) do you have a right to work in the US

without a green card and an faa atp … even if the process to obtain them is trivial… the computer will probably hold your app hostage.

Hey guys. Got the invite last night, but my schedule for January doesn't come out till the 18th (Saturday). The email didn't mention a cutoff date to schedule it, do you guys know if I'm cool waiting till Saturday to book it? Not sure how long the invite is good for....

Thanks

Pick the earliest date and do everything possible to get that day off, legally of course. Trade, drop, swap, call in a favor, CP request etc

If you wait until the 18th you may only have one date left to choose from anyways. I’d grab one now.

Do it now. You could easily gain dozens of numbers of seniority by being in an earlier class
