Yes it is an email that pretty much tells them to expect another email to schedule the fingerprints. But the other email has not been sent yet.

its saturday now so maybe next week? Who knows..

On a separate note, I heard the March 17th 2020 class that got cancelled after they started, is starting on July 7th. Anything after that is “unknown” at the moment..

Default Pilot skills test

Has anyone had the pilot skill test icon disappear from their application? If so how did you get it back?

Was planning on doing it the next couple days, but yeah mine disappeared too. I know they're working out some kinks with the new app interface, so it's probably them still tinkering with it.

Default Training Pay

Does anyone know the training pay AA new hires can eventually expect from the start of indoc to the completion of their type rating?

Question AA mandatory retirement numbers

Question.... I've looked on APC and such other sites, but I can't find mandatory retirement numbers for 2041-2045. Would anyone have these numbers? I'm trying to create a long term seniority comparison sheet and need these years for AA.

$90.93 x Average line value for your equipment/base. Something in the 80’s I’m guessing.

We have gotten through the bulk of the grey hair and balding captains with the regionals.

Most are now younger.

I am sure these out years will increase as new pilots get hired. A 41 year old new hire today, for example, will add to that 2045 mandatory retirement number. True for all of the airlines.

Here is a touchstone of typical through the years:

AA has 15,000 pilots, +/-

Assume every pilot gets hired at age 30 (probably actual average will be a bit higher)

Assume no early outs for medical, etc. That would require hiring.

Assume no growth, at all. That would require hiring.

Assume mandatory retirement remains at 65.

Assume 2 pilots are required, and relief on long hauls stay the same.

If age distribution was uniform (I know it isn’t):

15,000 total pilots / (age 65 - age 30) = 428 retirements per year on average.

That gives a bit of a touchstone for these numbers. Typically the retirements will be more, due to conservative assumptions. Some years less, some years more.

Default CJO Email

Has anyone received an email follow-up from the CJO email that went out about a week ago stating that we would receive an email from a different address to schedule DOT testing and fingerprinting?
