Default AA 2024 Class Drops

New thread for the 2024 class drops.

I'm in 1/17 class. 10/25 CJO. Was told to expect "new hire packet" to be emailed "late November." Haven't received anything. Curious when/what to expect? Appreciate any insight!

Usually they come a week or two before class. I wouldn't worry about it not coming yet. It's mostly information on how to get to DFW and the new hire dinner. You can bring a guest to day one and the dinner in the evening. It's a nice event.

There isn't really anything to study for indoc so just relax and try to stay out of trouble at your old job until you quit. We'll be looking forward to seeing you!

Is Charlotte an option for initial aircraft qualification? Would you just request it?

So cool it looks like the first 3 class dates of the new year are.
10 Jan
17 Jan
24 Jan (CJO 31 Oct).

Hopefully those who have class dates but accept CJOs somewher else will actually drop their class with AA a head of time. My buddy in 29Nov class said their were 3 or 4 no shows and for some reason affected the slots for basse and planes that they could bid for.

Yes you can get assigned CLT for training. You can even request it, but I don't know how much they weigh your request. I have heard its a more relaxed atmosphere than DFW although I had a good experience in Dallas.

Technically yes, but extremely unlikely.

Also keep in mind CLT is for Airbus training only. If you get stuck with the 737 you are SOL.

Not unlikely. Lots of folks going through in Charlotte recently. Upgrades too. Just finished mine a few months ago in Charlotte with a new hire in the right seat. If you want it, request it.
