I'll go first:
At American, pilots can save up to 1000 hours of sick leave, which is better than Delta (270 hours max) but worse than United (1300 hours). Part of sick leave can be cashed out by the pilot, unlike at Delta and United where it is 100% forfeited at a point.
Finally, medical documentation is only needed if the sick even lasts more than 14 days. No doctors notes for calling out for any single trip, ever. At Delta, a doctor's note is required once you use 100 sick hours in a year, and at United, it depends on how much you've worked in the given month.
... in the big scheme though, this is all minutia. But, it is along the lines of the thread.

Flip side of this is virtually every hour flown at AA is at straight time...except for the once in a blue moon premium trip awarded via an automated system that is completely up to crew schedulers discretion. Add to it the monthly max limitations and having a successful outcome with IMAX isn’t as easy as it is sometimes advertised.
The company will need FAR max flying when this is all said and done. There will be many ready to take advantage and enjoy months off with pay as a result.

IMAX Hands down. Made an additional 30k+ with two months off, in a row, paid(FO pay). You do have to beat yourself up for a couple of months to make it happen though. Those who tell you it’s tough to do are the same guys that say you can’t dump your whole schedule.
