for July:

FO - 10/2019

CA - 7/2012

mind you, the big hiring gap of 2020-21 for the FO and the ~1000 pilots hired in 1998-2001 that are Junior to that 2012 pre merger Airways hire

So in regards to the 737 at ORD…

If I understand this correctly bc of the high seniority at ORD you might be able to get to ORD as a 737 FO, but you will be on reserve for a much longer time as a result of the higher seniority there (2 years?). Then you can upgrade to Captain at another location based off of seniority BUT in order to get an ORD Captain slot the wait will be around 7 years. But then you will also be on reserve another couple of years before you can hold a line as an ORD Captain bc of the high seniority there. Also, the wait times here could drop though with all the retirements in the next few years.

Is it true upgrade upgrade dropped below a year in LGA and MIA on the last bid? How junior is LAX leftseat?

No. No one can upgrade until one year of service. It was over two years on last bid. Next bid comes out in a couple days. Forced upgrade will happen.

it may happen down the road, but not this next bid. Most people are predicting upgrade to drop to early 2020 hires or maybe some of the earliest 2021 hires. Current plug in LAX is a late 2014 hire. LAX is stagnant now, possibly due to construction at the hub
