AA Regional LCAs Make More than AA 777 CAs

With the new pay raises at the WOs, a Check Airman will make more than a 77/78 Captain. Really begs the question as to why APA leadership hasn’t been engaging with the ALPA MECs from the AA WOs. They’ve been getting money thrown at them hand over fist and what are APA pilots getting? Seems like a missed opportunity to prevent the “reverse B-scale” and make everyone happy…

Waiting anxiously for APA’s toothless reply.

And when you think things couldn't get any worse our on the line...This will put attitudes into the dumpster. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for those getting a raise at the WO. Meanwhile the major they support will wither away in contract purgatory.

This is a reactive management group. They're throwing money at the WO problem of attrition and staffing. This pilot group has absolutely no problem making sure we're staffed to fly our schedule, and lots of folks are jumping at the chance to work in the training department. If the planes are moving and classes are full, why would management give us a dime?

It's going to take the wheels falling off for
management to come to the table with the APA. It's gonna happen, but I think we're in for a long slog of watching other carriers get theirs before we finally get ours.
